Freedom to live...

Our new Pastor has been on a role lately! His messages are uncovering real issues. He led with a story.. He said .. " I once heard a man give his testimony and he said on a november day I Found the LORD!" Pastor said "what? The Lord was never lost,you were! God chose you! You didn't find Him, you chose to follow Him. What freedom that should bring us. I had to think about it for a minute! It's not about us, It's about Christ! Our lives should be led by the Holy Spirit and His word not our own doing! That IS comforting because I'm human and I make mistakes! I don't always make the right decisions. But if I make the One important decision to follow Christ He will Lead me if I am open to His leading. IF I give him my days and not worry about the petty stuff I wouldn't wonder if I'm doing the right thing or not! His message hit me! If I look at who I am in Christ, I am His servant and spokesperson, friend, teacher and helper. Everything I do should glorify Him. I don't have to earn it. I already have the gift. I need to live with the passion I had when He FOUND me!! What I talk about around my kids may not be what's on TV, but they are going to know what it important to me! Prayer, and encouraging others with His Word need to be foremost in what I do each day!
