What's really important?

Remember what is important. Satan's first priority is to throw me off course. He gets me off track so easily sometimes. Through little comments and situations that take my focus away from those things most important. I can take for granted those closest to me.

The little things get me the worst. I walk through my house and find another load of laundry to do, then look down to find a melted popsicle stuck to the floor only to have to clean that up now. The kids say "Come push me on the swing", At first I thought "When I am finished with the dishes left in the sink from breakfast, I will come push you on the swing."

That made me feel guilty and overwhelmed.

Well, I was inspired at that moment with wisdom. I asked Kira to clean up the popsicle she left on the floor and Derek to help fold the laundry (towels, something easy)and they were willing to help!!! That doesn't always happen, but at that moment it was God bringing the ideas and the peace to my heart! I was spending time with them without the guilt. The work got done and we all went to the zoo!! I did not have to feel guilty anymore!

When your emotions get tied up into something and worry about it for days, It's not just you who is affected by the worry and anxiety, it's everyone who loves you.

God is our refuge and strength! Cast all your cares upon Him!

He won't rip you off!! He won't leave you hanging!

Set aside time for your family and don't let other things interrupt that precious time together. We are all in this life together to love and support each other through it, not to make our loved ones wait for our attention until everything else is done, because "everything else" is never done!!

These are just some deep and random thoughts about life I decided to share today.
Maybe you can relate!
