Sparky!!

We got a new kitten!! Kira has proven that she can take care of a cat. After consistent feedings of our cat Joey, we decided it was okay to get Joey a friend. Joey is very independent and didn't let Kira hold him much ..or at all.

We went to cleveland for a day trip and came back with at kitten!! Who knew! We all fell in love with THIS kitten. There were two VERY cute gray and white ones with longer fur that Kira liked best at first, but when she picked them up, they wouldn't pur. All they wanted to do was get down and play.

Then Hugh found Sparky and held him. He purred and purred and purred! Then he had to convince Kira that this was the cat! She refused for about a half hour! Then he took Kira and Sparky to an unoccupied isle and let it down. Sparky immediately came right back to Kira and rubbed his fur against her leg and purred and purred and purrrrrred!! Never before has any of our cats given Kira that much attention! She was in! This was the cat for her! This now means we travel 1 and 1/2 bours back home with our new kitten... Sparky!! The travels went very well, he sat on Kira's lap most of the way and then mine. Derek even took a turn even though he could take it or leave it.
When we got home, she loved it and hugged it all evening! I haven't seen Kira so excited over something in a long time. It gets even better... That night she held it in her arms and the cat fell asleep in her bed snug as bug in a rug!!
