Today's Truth
"My message and my preaching were not with wise and persuasive words, but with a demonstration of the Spirit's power, so that your faith might not rest on men's wisdom, but on God's power" (1 Corinthians 2:4-5 NIV).
This verse relates to the post What's on my mind.
In the Bible, we learn that Jesus Christ has already won the victory over sin and death, and because we are God's children, that victory is shared with us. However, until Jesus returns, we will continue to fight a spiritual battle on three fronts: the world, the flesh and the devil (Ephesians 2:2-3). All three voices shout commands, and as a soldier of Christ, we must be able to recognize the voice of our commander and the voices of the enemy forces.
If the voices glorify God and protects the ones we love it is probably from God. If the nudge we hear is for our own selfish desire or want or hurts someone else it is not of God. The more we listen, the less trouble we get into! The more we listen the more we can help others in the same situation.
Be encouraged! God will never leave you hanging. He knows your every hurt and weakness and wants to help you through it. He created marriage and relationships. He is there with the answers to help you and gave us the perfect example in His word! His divine power can change things and only for the better!
