Valentines Day...

Valentines day is a great day to remember those you love.

It's also a day to spend twice as much for something you could get the next week and it would still mean the same thing.. I know what you're thinking " your a woman and you can't mean that." Well after ten years of marriage to a very practical man, I have come to appreciate his frugality and find encouragement in the little things. I know I will not get roses or jewelry on valentines day. That's okay. I can't believe I would ever say this but I would be mad at him for spending the money. A love letter and quality time are just right for me!! A friend bought a $2500 pair of earrings for his wife and took her to New York to celebrate. WOW! I guess if you have it why not, but I think the money could be better spent. Like on gas cards for the kids coming to sunday school who don't have enough money to get there otherwise. Or donating to a local women's care center for young pregnant girls etc.... That is what matters and the love flows freely to all who give and receive.

I will say a few things about my husband because he is a wonderful person. He is strong and disciplined in every area of his life. His main passion is for the lost in Christ, his family is a close second. He is there for us when we need him, He provides everything we need financially and spiritually. Romantic? well, I guess I'm not really the traditionally romantic type. Our idea of romance seems to have blended over the years and fits just right! I love you Hugh!

Happy Valentines day to all of you! Keep in mind what love can do!
