My thoughts for a snowy day... God has painted our town with a beautiful blanket of white snow. The kind that sits on every branch of every tree and bush and glistens in the sun that is shining after the storm has passed! I t was so nice I called up some of Derek's friends and we went to a local wildlife trail park to take a walk.
There was absolutely no wind and the flakes were huge and fluffy and falling slowly to the ground. We have about 8 inches, just enough to build a good size snowman. I stopped to take some pictures because I didn't want to miss the moment!
I realized I need to stop and look at life that way every day. If you look hard enough and long enough I won't miss so much of what God gives us every day to encourage us and give us hope and fulfillment. I would notice more the smiles of my children and the sweet words of friends and the quiet sweet loving actions of my husband. My schedules and agendas get in the way too much. The more I look at people, the more I notice, the more I remember and less of me gets in the way.
